Showcase Your Vision: Melissa Dawn

Eyes on Main is sponsoring local artists in our community by showcasing their work in our Welcome area!

This quarter’s featured artist is Melissa Dawn. Her piece, Timeline, is a collagraph with image transfer created in February of 2014. This grid of 54 squares was printed using seven collagraph plates. The blocks were made of matboard, tape, wallpaper, tin foil, ribbon, and paper. They were printed intaglio.  Xerox images were then transferred to the completed grid.  The images are all of Melissa’s face, from the photo taken on the day she was born to a portrait made last year, thus the name Timeline.
